Lucky Nutmeg
Tradition: Appalachian magick
Author: H. Byron Ballard
Purpose: Brings good luck to the person who carries this nut bag :)
Ingredients:
- Whole nutmeg (ground is acceptable too)
- A pinch of soil from your house
- Vervain
- Chamomile
- A small piece of square paper
- Red thread for tying
- A coin
Methodology:
To be done on a Full moon.
Pile the herbs and soil into a small hill in the center of the paper.
Stir the mixture in a clockwise direction with your non-dominant hand, while thinking about how lucky you are.
Place the coin and nutmeg in the middle of the mixture.
Gather the paper up around everything into a neat package.
Tie the package with the red string tightly.
Carry this package with you everyday, preferably in a small pouch to avoid spillage.
Every Full moon, take it out and place under the moonlight to recharge.
