Classic Magick Circle

Tradition: Witchcraft

Ingredients:
  • Small bowl of living water (Rain water, sea water, river water)
  • Incense
  • Red/white candle
  • Black crystal

Purpose: Protecting oneself during spellwork, creating a liminal place between the physical world and spiritual world.

Methodology:

Light up the candle and walk the circle, starting from the South clockwise.

Light up the incense and walk the circle, starting from the East clockwise.

Sprinkle the bowl of water and walk the circle, starting from the West clockwise.

Lay down the black crystal on the North and walk the circle, starting from the North clockwise.

Use the index finger of your dominant hand, empowering it with the energy ball exercise to physically trace out the space of the circle, starting from the East clockwise. As you walk, recite:

United and conjoined the four elemental powers form the greater unity, that unity is my magick circle, bound in time and space. Within is my universe, harmonised by the magick of the elements. As above, so below.

Return to the center of the circle when you are done.
