A Guide to Solomonic Oils
If you have heard of spell oils or ritual oils, Solomonic oils are essentially the same concept with the exception that they are influenced from the Solomonic tradition.
What makes them any different from other spell oils online?
The consecration methodology and conjuration of the spirits within the Solomonic oils are followed as close to source material as possible without hurting the integrity of the tradition. With that said, certain adjustments have to be made to fit the medium of the magic. (In this case, I am using oils over virgin parchment to infuse the powers of the Solomonic pentacles.)
Understanding how the Solomonic oils work:
There is an underlying framework on how the power of the oils manifest which will be helpful for you to understand if you want to use it to its fullest potential.

Cleansing & purification
The Solomonic tradition focuses heavily on the concept of physical, emotional and spiritual purity as it comes from a framework of Abrahamic believes (Christianity, Judaism, Islam), in particular the manual that I am working from is largely derived from Christianity.
Hence, the powers of the Solomonic oils are best received when the body and mind is "pure". This includes
- Cleansing of the body before application of the oils (Shower before use)
- Application of the oils at the start of the day before consuming any foods and water (Intermittent fasting)
- Audibly speak out any regrets and heavy thoughts weighing on the heart before application of the oils
- Being honest in words and actions during the usage of the oils
Solomonic magic
Solomonic magic is based on the legendary figure King Solomon and how he commanded spirits like angels, planetary intelligences and demons to grant him wisdom to build the first temple of God in Jerusalem. Among the powers he attained, it is said that the pentacles of Solomon were revealed to him by an angel of God.
Focus on the Pentacles of Solomon as these are the main influences of the Solomonic oils found in this collection. The pentacles of Solomon were made primarily for the purpose of "striking terror into the spirits and reducing them to obedience", although there is a wide variety of uses for each pentacle besides that.
The pentacles are originally to be engraved on their respective metals or drawn with ritual ink on virgin parchment paper, however I have swapped out the medium of the pentacles to that of Jojoba oil.
Jojoba oil has spiritually protective properties and has a long shelf-life (1-2 years), the spirit of Jojoba is also of persevering nature. When added into spell/ritual work, it can be used to prolong the powers of the pentacles.
There are 44 Solomonic pentacles divided into 7 categories, mainly the 7 classical planets: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon. Which brings me to...
Planetary magic
Planetary magic is a form of ceremonial magic that utilises the powers of the planets, much like the 4 elements (Fire, Air, Water, Earth). Each of the 7 classical planets has their own sphere of influence in accordance the Source, much like a refraction of the Source's powers.
The reason why we look into planetary magic is due to the intersection of how to use the pentacles of Solomon according to each planets.
Pentacles of Saturn: Best used on Saturdays and/or in the hour of Saturn. Resonates with the colors black and dark browns. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied on the kneecaps and/or legs.
Pentacles of Jupiter: Best used on Thursdays and/or in the hour of Jupiter. Resonates with the color blue. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied on the feet and/or thighs.
Pentacles of Mars: Best used on Tuesdays and/or in the hour of Mars. Resonates with the color red. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied near the private parts (at your own risk!) and/or head.
Pentacles of Sun: Best used on Sundays and/or in the hour of the Sun. Resonates with the colors gold and yellow. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied near the heart.
Pentacles of Venus: Best used on Fridays and/or in the hour of Venus. Resonates with the colors green and pink. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied around the neck and/or lower back.
Pentacles of Mercury: Best used on Wednesdays and/or in the hour of Mercury. Resonates with the colors orange and yellow. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied on the arms and/or belly.
Pentacles of Moon: Best used on Mondays and/or in the hour of Moon. Resonates with the colors silver and white. (When applied on clothing, cosmetics, body art) Best when applied on the chest/breasts.
How to use Solomonic oils
Listed above, you would see ideal placements on where to apply the oils. However, that is not a hard and fast rule. If you have a skin problem in that specific area like your arms, you may apply the oils in at your pulse points.
Specific pulse points include
- The back of your wrists
- The inner elbows
- Side of the temples
- Soles of the feet
- Sides of the neck
I do not recommend anointing yourself at pulse points near your inner thigh and near your private areas to avoid desecration of the oil unless you are specifically using a pentacle of Mars oil.

How often to use Solomonic oils
It is recommended to use daily for 7 days before taking a subsequent 7 days break for maximum yield of the effects.
On anointing magickal tools like spelled jewelry
When using Solomonic oils to anoint spell candles, ingredients, etc. Take note to use the appropriate oils for the specific spells/ritual. (For example don't use a pentacle of Mars oil for retribution for a love spell)
It is important that the nature of the spirits/deities involved in the spellwork should reconcile and be pleasant with each other. This means that magical works that are Infernal in nature and employ the aid of demons should NOT use Solomonic oils. This does not mean that a practitioner that works with demons cannot use Solomonic oils. Refer to below "Who should and shouldn't use Solomonic oils".
If you are anointing a previously spelled/enchanted jewelry with Solomonic oil, make sure that the spirits/deities used to enchant the jewelry should be celestial and/or share the same planetary influences. For example, a pentacle of Venus oil can be used to anoint Lady Aphrodite's jewelry as they share the same planetary influence of Venus. Where the Solomonic oils should be kept
The vessel of the Solomonic oils should always be placed on a table top or altar space, a place sacred to your spiritual workings. The oils should not be placed on the floor. The oils shall not be placed in the toilet and should be placed out of side from the direction of the toilet.
After using the Solomonic oils, it should be placed back into the consecrated linen pouch to keep the oils sacred.
Who should and shouldn't use Solomonic oils
I hope the title didn't sound too elitist, like ooo only a select few can use Solomonic oils. What I meant is due to the inherent nature of the Solomonic tradition, there will be some people who will not be compatible with using the Solomonic oils, such as:
- If you have any form of deep rooted religious trauma relating to Abrahamic religions
- If you have any tattoos of demonic seals, you will not be advised to apply the Solomonic oil on your skin.
- If you do not have a space in your home for applying the Solomonic oil (Meaning you have consecrated the entire home for Infernal work)
- Infernal/demonic practitioners can still use the Solomonic oils, although it is advised that they approach the demon and inform them of their decision to use the oils.
- Individuals that work with Chthonic/underworld deities can still use the Solomonic oils with no negative effects
Safety instructions
For physical safety and potential allergies, always do a patch test to check for allergies. Do not use on raw skin.
In terms of spiritual safety, it is important to take a break on using the oils for at least 7 days as prolonged planetary effects on an individual can cause energetic imbalances and negative effects.
